ELIZABETH MAYO

Elizabeth comes from a long line of hairdressers and grew up admiring the strength and style of her family’s talent. She became interested in the history of hair through the decades, especially the Vidal Sassoon school of thought of the 1960’s and the influence it had on the art and fashion world, which led her to move to New York City after cosmetology school.  She began assisting at a salon in the East Village while simultaneously attending art school in Brooklyn. Her creative experience led to a passion for haircutting which extended to her ability to see each client as a unique portrait of the self they want to walk out of the salon as. She came home to California to apply her experience toward the Bay Area community. Elizabeth’s skills include short detailed haircuts, razor cuts, clipper cuts, fades, shags, textured hair, creative cuts, timeless sleek looks, bobs, long layers, and intuitive organic looks. She wants to connect to every one of her clients and loves being a part of bringing out their vision of how they see themselves.
